2013 Gala Fundraising Dinner

“Gala Fundraising Dinner” is an annual event hosted by Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver. Gala Dinner of this year was being held at Burnaby Delta Hotel on June 2nd, 2013 with reps from three-level governments, Chinese Consulate General in Vancouver to attend the live show. David Teng, Chairman of CCCICA and other reps, also presented the Gala Event as Diamond Sponsor for Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver.

With “showcase the achievements of children of Chinese culture” as its theme, this event embraced a variety of show including Taekwondo skills, Chinese folk dance performances, Latin dance, violin and “charity karaoke OK” singing and so on.

David Teng said in his speech, the significance of “Gala Dragon Dinner” not only lies in raising funds for Chinese Cultural Center, but also in awakening the awareness of disseminating Chinese culture abroad as overseas Chinese’obligations and responsibility to reach its full blossom in Canada’s diverse society.

Gala Fundraising Dinner, adhering to 40 years’ mission of “to promote Chinese culture, to strengthen multi-cultural” , has made great efforts to raise funds to help Chinese immigrants integrate into Canadian culture and life by promoting cultural exchanges between Chinese community and other ethics rooted in Canada, acting as a platform for networking.
