CCCICA Attended XII World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention

As the largest event among Chinese business community worldwide, World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, being held every two years, has been playing a significant role in bridging Chinese Entrepreneurs Organizations and Chinese enterprises around the world since 1991 initiated by Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce, acting as an active platform for Chinese enterprises investment and cooperation globally ,with each attracting thousands of Chinese business leaders from around the world to attend the meeting.

XII World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, hosted by the China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association, was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province on September 24-26, 2013 with the theme of “China Development •Chinese opportunity,”aimed to help learn more about what great achievements China had made since China’s reform and opening up , to share the upcoming opportunities during the nation’s development.

President of CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping sent a greeting message for this convention and Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee Yu Zhengsheng delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony.

As one of Canada’s most influential overseas Chinese business organizations , CCCICA delegation with 10 reps, led by President David Teng, participated in this event. During this meeting, CCCICA exchanged ideas and shared experience with counterpart delegations from Thailand, Malaysia,and Indonesia regarding agricultural development, energy construction and bilateral development ,with the aim to promote exchanges and cooperations between Canada and Southeast Asia.

The event embraced 3,000participants from104 countries and regions and covered many activities like Chinese Economic Forum,15 subject forums, exchange visits, project contract negotiations, tree planting memorial,flag handover,etc.
